Green Tea Frappe with Cookies and Cream Topping

This green tea frappe is a wonderful blend of matcha, vanilla ice cream, milk and ice, finished with a cookie and cream topping. It makes a wonderfully refreshing drink to relax with on a warm afternoon and also doubles as dessert!

Toppings
- 3 oreo cookies + extra for garnish
- 50 ml whipping cream
- fruit such as strawberries or lychee* optional
Green Tea Frappe
- ½ cup milk
- 1 ½ tsp matcha powder
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1 scoop of ice cream
Prepare your toppings:
Separate Oreo cookies, remove the cream filling from each and place in a small bowl. Crush the leftover chocolate Oreo pieces to achieve a crumb then set them aside. Mix the cream filling before gradually adding in the cream and whisking until light and fluffy - being careful not to overmix. Transfer to a piping bag fitted with a large star-tip nozzle and set aside in the fridge.If using fruit, slice into desired shapes, then set aside while you make the frappe.
Green Tea Frappe
Combine milk, green tea, ice cubes and ice cream in a blender and whizz until just combined. Pour into your desired glass.
To top your frappes: Pipe on your reserved cream, sprinkle over crushed Oreo cookies and garnish with fruit (if using) and extra Oreo cookies.
Serve immediately and enjoy while nice and cold!
