Gingerbread Latte

Gingerbread lattes are the perfect way to get into the holiday season! Add just a touch of spice and sweetness to your coffee for a little something fun and festive.
Plus they're super simple to throw together, with three components... gingerbread syrup, freshly brewed coffee and some warm frothy milk. Top it all off with a sprinkle of gingerbread spice and some gingerbread cookies for the ultimate treat and cup of comfort!

Equipment

  • Milk frother or a small saucepan and whisk

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup (125ml) freshly brewed coffee or 2 shots of espresso*
  • 3 tbsp (60ml) gingerbread syrup *see notes
  • 1 ½ cups (375ml) milk

Toppings

  • gingerbread spice *see notes
  • gingerbread cookies

Instructions
 

  • Stir the gingerbread syrup into the freshly brewed coffee until dissolved and then pour into your desired mugs.
  • Froth milk in a milk frother or whisk the milk in a medium bowl until frothy, then transfer to a small saucepan and heat through on low heat, stirring constantly (you should start to see steam develop).
    Distribute milk between each mug.
  • Sprinkle over gingerbread spice mix and garnish with gingerbread cookies, if desired.
  • Serve immediately.

*Feel free to add more coffee if you would like
 
  • This gingerbread latte is also great served cold over ice! Skip the heat and keep it nice and refreshing as an iced gingerbread latte!
